Fiddle/ViolinTuition

Experienced performer and teacher of Traditional music for fiddle/violin. Specialising in the music of Scotland and Ireland.

Holds Diploma in Traditional Music and Gaelic from Lews Castle College, Benbecula Campus, Western Isles. Also grade 8 Trinity College Certificate in Traditional Fiddle.

I teach teenage to adult players from beginners to advanced. Learn technique skills, tune learning, basic theory etc.

Has performed with players such as Aidan O'Rourke, Iain MacDonald, Anna-Wendy Stevenson, Catriona MacDonald, Kathryn and Peter Tickell and many more. Was a past member of North East folk ensemble, Folkestra.

Usually teach from home in Newcastle upon Tyne or if student is on bus route will come to you.

Also available to teach in Schools.

Also teaches fiddle at Core Music, Hexham.

Can teach classical violin up to Grade 5

Rates are £20 per hour; £15 for 45 minutes.
